Frequently Asked Questions
These are commonly asked questions and answers. If you have a question about signs or digital imaging that is not included here, contact us and we will be happy to provide an answer.
How much will my signs cost?
Many signs are custom designed and fabricated. We design and fabricate signs based upon your specific requirements and intended use. The intended use, whether it will be located indoors or outdoors, and the expected life of the sign are all important criteria. Call or send us email, and we can provide a free quotation with no obligation.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A 50% deposit is required to begin your sign or digital imaging project.
If I have a logo or other artwork, can you use it to make my sign?
Yes. If it is high-quality, we may be able to use it with little or no modification. If it is not sufficient quality in either resolution or color values, we may be able to "clean it up." We can determine whether additional steps are necessary to use your logo or artwork when we examine it. We can also design a logo or branding concept if you do not already have these for your business or organization.
What will my signs look like?
We can produce scaled artwork that accurately represents the design that we propose. It can be sent by email or facsimile, or you can visit our offices to review and approve our proposal.
Can my signs be delivered? Yes. We can deliver or ship your signs and imaging to the location you specify.

The installation of signs or graphics on a vehicle usually requires one business day. We will confirm the scheduled installation time when we provide a quotation.
Do I need a permit for my sign?
You may or may not need a permit for your sign. We will assist in finding out what you need and we may be able to help you attain the permit before the sign is installed.

Can Sierra Custom Signs supply trade show booths and graphics?
Yes. We can design and print custom signs and graphics and supply pre-fabricated travel booths.
How long will my signs last?
The materials and production methods used to fabricate your sign determine the life of your sign. You can expect a 7-year life for vinyl signs and at least 5-years for digital prints. These estimates are based on materials that are designed by the manufacturer to be long-lasting. If your signs are more temporary or do not require an extended life, it is possible that more economic materials can be used. Be sure to inform us of the expected life of your signs and graphics.
How do I care for and maintain my signs?
We provide an information sheet that explains how to care for you signs or graphics. Most signs are very low-maintenance, and if you store them properly when not in use or follow the recommended care instructions, your signs and graphics products will last their expected life and possibly longer.
